LAQS is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to bring the Lebanese and Arab community together and enhance the lives of those living in Queensland in health, education, culture, social, and public welfare. With the absence of a community representative in Queensland, we aim to advance culture by keeping traditions alive while integrating and bringing awareness through exhibitions of designs, arts and crafts, holding events, providing language training and holding custom ceremonies and festivals.
LAQS is founded on the principles and values of respect, diversity and engagement. We aim to be a united voice, supporting the development of community members to advance their culture and skills professionally and personally. Although all individuals have different backgrounds, cultural diversity is what LAQS encourages and aims to promote.
Our organisation will promote and build connections with businesses and professionals through our website, enabling individuals too easily find the services they are looking for while supporting the community.
LAQS has no political allegiance and accept and respect all religions, race, and cultures.
We thank everyone’s support in working and participating with our organisation and hope to continue making a difference in the community.
